Is there a recommended frequency for lubricating the impact-resistant tool (VARIO)?
Question:
Is there a recommended frequency for lubricating the impact-resistant tool (VARIO)?
In other words, how many millimeters of metal can we drill/cut before we should lubricate again?
Answer:
There is no specific recommendation for impact-resistant tools.
We recommend the same procedure as for non-impact-resistant tools, as drilling/countersinking/threading is carried out with a drill/screwdriver.
Cooling and lubrication are generally recommended.
The more often this is done, the longer the service life and the better the quality of the drill hole and thread.
There is no standard recommendation for different metals such as aluminum (alcohol-based, low-viscosity or special cutting oils) or stainless steel (cutting oils). In applications without cooling/lubrication, the service life is reduced depending on the material, speed and frequency of use. This must be determined individually.
