FEIN MULTIMASTER in action
FAQ
How do multitools work?
Multitools feature a wide range of functions: they are oscillating power tools that can be equipped with various adapters. These are simply clipped onto the tool head. This way, you can perform a wide variety of applications such as sanding, polishing, or sawing with your multitool. For this purpose, a sanding plate, a polishing plate, or a saw blade/plunge saw blade are attached to the FEIN oscillators. Some of these are included in the standard delivery or are part of the basic equipment of certain sets. The rotational movement of the motor is converted into an oscillating movement via an eccentrically ground ball bearing, and a fork attached to the tool axis.
What is so special about FEIN's oscillating multitools?
Oscillating multitools generate 20,000 vibrations per minute. FEIN's MULTIMASTER offers shock-absorbing elements that are connected to the motor housing to ensure that these vibrations are only minimally transmitted to the tool and the user. The reduction in vibrations increases smooth running and offers the best protection.
Another distinctive feature of the FEIN oscillators is the patented QuickIN clamping system, which allows accessories to be changed quickly and conveniently in under 3 seconds without an Allen key. The MULTIMASTER features an 8-star toolholder that makes working considerably easier. It provides a positive-locking mechanism that ensures reliable torque transfer even under heavy load, thus guaranteeing smooth power transmission and efficient operation.
A tacho generator ensures constant speed even under heavy load and infinitely variable speed control. The metal gearbox provides extremely high load capacity and maximum service life, as all gearbox parts are made of metal.
For which purposes do I need a multitool?
Multitools are genuine all-rounders that can be used for all kinds of tasks:
- SAWING, SANDING, POLISHING, CUTTING, FILING, SCRAPING, CLEANING
You can work on a wide range of materials such as wood (hardwood/softwood), laminate, plaster, plasterboard, plastic, putty, metal (CU pipe, INOX, nails, sheet steel, screws), drywall profile or brick, as there are matching attachments for various purposes.
What do I need to know about safety and cleaning?
Always read the instruction manual carefully before using your multitool, as this is the only way to ensure your safety. Especially when sanding, you must make sure that you only use the multitool for the materials it is intended for and that you change the attachments regularly. Wet workpieces cannot be worked on because there is a risk of electric shock if water gets into the tool. Never open the multitool yourself, and always have repairs conducted by a professional. When cleaning, avoid using chemicals, as these attack the tool, and do not allow water to get into the housing.
