FEIN offers all spare parts several years after the end of production, so that your FEIN machine can be repaired even after a model change. Often, after many years, we can carry out the repairs to your satisfaction.

Should repairs no longer be possible or if they are uneconomic, FEIN customers will can benefit from special offers on replacement machines.

Naturally, FEIN Canada will dispose of your used machines and batteries professionally and free of charge. A large part of the material is recycled, thus contributing to the protection of the environment.

Technical care & Maintenance

Take the right steps to preserve your FEIN machine! Here are the best practices recommended by our technicians:

Keep your electrical tool clean and dry.
Clean your device regularly when using abrasives. It is suggested to clean out or blow out your machine using a vacuum cleaner or compressed air.
Avoid big variations in temperature while storing (condensation).
Recharge your batteries regularly. If it is for a longer period of time, Lithium-ion batteries should be stored only partially charged (2 green LEDs). Recharging is neccessary at least every 3 months, due to self-discharging. Store NiCd/NiMH batteries for a longer period of time only if fully charged.

Maintenance may only be performed by electrically skilled persons.

Typically, a maintenance consists of external and internal cleaning, testing and renewal of wear parts (e.g. bearings, grease, seals). In addition, a testing of functionality and reliability must be performed.

The frequency of the maintenance depends on the ambient conditions, e.g. dust, air humidity, operation time, etc.
