BOOST YOUR WELD & PAINT PREP PRODUCTIVITY WITH FEIN BEVELERS
- Save time: produce weld-ready bevels that don’t require any additional prep
- Improve respiratory health: safer than angle ginders, bevelers eliminate grinding dust, producing only chips from milling operation
- Lower cost of ownership: our 8-sided indexable inserts can easily be rotated & lower operating costs
- Durable, high quality construction that is light weight and easy to use
- FEIN performance: enhanced with our HighPower batteries
- Booster and spring technology
WHAT IS BOOSTER TECHNOLOGY?
Booster technology (shared by both KFH17-8 and KFH17-15) absorbs kinetic energy during acceleration and releases it during deceleration. This results in a reduction of rotational irregularity which keeps the motor speed constant and allows for a cleaner bevel. This feature also significantly reduced vibration feedback to the tool/user.
WHAT IS SPRING & BOOSTER TECHNOLOGY?
Spring & booster technology (only KFH17-15) cushions the rotational force of the inserts when entering into the bevel. This gives the insert more time to penetrate the material resulting in a significantly reduced chance of machine kickback. This produces more uniform beveling, reduced overall wear and increases beveling performance.

COMPARED TO OTHER WELD PREP, FEIN BEVELERS ARE JUST BETTER.
HAND HELD GRINDERS
- Inaccurate results.
- Impossible to hold bevel angle accurately.
- Hazardous grinding dust and fumes.
OXY-FUEL OR PLASMA
- Requires a high level of skill to achieve quality bevels.
- Produces surface oxidations and a Heat Affected Zone (HAZ).
- Requires secondary grinding.
PNEUMATIC BEVELERS
- Inconsistent speed.
- Inconsistent results.
- High power consumption.

FAQ
WHAT APPLICATIONS CAN I USE BEVELERS FOR?
- Preparing weld seams for better adhesion during the welding process, making strong welds
- Making metals safer and more aesthetically pleasing for decorative and functional edges
- Made for professional use, such as general fabrication and mechanical contractors
- Can be used on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and plastic
WHAT ANGLES CAN I BEVEL?
- Cordless AFKH 18-5 T
Bevel angle at 45°
Radius at nominal 3/32” (2.5 mm)
- KFH 17-8 RT & KFH 17-15 RT
Bevel angle at 30°, 37.5°, and 45°
Radius at nominal 1/8”, 5/32” (3mm, 4mm)
DO I NEED LUBRICANT?
For most metals, lubricant is not needed. For soft materials such as aluminum and copper, as well as hard to machine materials such as stainless steel, a spray or a cutting paste/wax can be used to increase
performance and life of inserts.
AT WHAT SPEED SHOULD I SET THE BEVELER?
Material | RECOMMENDED SPEED |
Aluminium | 6 |
Mild steel | 6 |
High tensile | 4-5 |
Stainless steel | 1-3 |
