e) my.FEIN

my.FEIN allows you to use online and mobile services from FEIN. Registration with my.FEIN is free of charge. To do this, we need your first and last name, your e-mail address and postal address, as well as other data about your company, such as the industry, company size, number of power tools you use and the number of power tools you use from FEIN. For individual services within my.FEIN, it may be necessary to provide further data, such as tool data for registration for the 3-year warranty. The data you provide on my.FEIN will be used by C. & E. Fein GmbH and by your respective contractual partner (FEIN subsidiary or distributor) on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b) GDPR. In addition, your contractual partner only uses your postal address to occasionally send you further information about FEIN products. You can withdraw your consent for your data being used by your contractual partner for advertising purposes at any time without the need for a specific form; ideally this should be done by e-mailing the following address: info@otatuote.fi

At my.FEIN, we may receive data about you from third parties. For example, instances may arise where a dealer registers a tool purchased by you for the 3-year warranty and, for this purpose, sends your first and last name, e-mail address and postal address, as well as other data about your company, such as the industry, company size, number of your power tools and number of your power tools from FEIN to FEIN and your respective contractual partner (FEIN subsidiary or distributor). Should this happen, the dealer is only permitted to send data if they have informed you that your data will be stored for the purpose of warranty registration at FEIN as well as your respective contractual partner (FEIN subsidiary or distributor) and they have received your consent. The dealer is responsible for this. If FEIN has an e-mail address for you, you will receive a registration confirmation from us by e-mail, containing the warranty conditions and the data protection declaration. The dealer is prohibited from using the purchaser's data for his or her own purposes.

Moreover, with my.FEIN you have the option of creating third parties such as employees as potential users in your own account and thus inviting them to my.FEIN. In order to do this, you must provide data such as the first and last name as well as an e-mail address at which the person to be invited can be reached. You can also provide further data about this person in this way, such as their user name, telephone number and role in the company. The data relating to these people will be sent to FEIN as well as to the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor. In addition, this data can be viewed by other users of your account, for example if these users have administrator rights. The prerequisite for the collection, processing and transmission of data to FEIN and the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor is that you have informed the data subjects in advance about the collection, processing and transmission of data and that you have their consent. You are responsible for this.

f) FEIN app

As well as the functionalities of my.FEIN, the FEIN app also offers you further selected online functionalities on mobile end devices, such as direct contact with FEIN or networking with power tools, for example via a Bluetooth wireless connection. Additional data such as location data may be collected as part of these functionalities. The user is free to agree to the location determination or to enter any location instead. Furthermore, within the scope of these functionalities, data on the use of FEIN power tools can also be collected, processed and sent to FEIN and the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor. This data includes information about when, where, how and how often you use these tools (e.g. operating hours). This data is used by C. & E. Fein GmbH and the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b) GDPR.

Additionally, the FEIN app can also record, process and send personal data to FEIN and the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor who work with your FEIN tools, for example if they have a Bluetooth wireless connection. In addition to personal data such as first and last name, e-mail address and postal address, this data also includes information about when, where, how and how often this person uses these tools (e.g. operating hours). In this case, the collection, processing and transmission of data to FEIN and the respective FEIN subsidiary or distributor is only permitted if you have informed these persons in advance about the collection, processing and transmission of data and you have their consent. You are responsible for this.

g) Registration to obtain our 3-year warranty

The 3-year warranty is a service within my.FEIN. Based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b) GDPR, C. & E. FEIN GmbH and your contractual partner (FEIN subsidiary or distributor) will use the data you provide here to implement the contractual relationship established with you. In addition, your contractual partner only uses your postal address to occasionally send you further information about FEIN products. You can withdraw your consent for your data being used by your contractual partner for advertising purposes at any time without the need for a specific form; ideally this should be done by e-mailing the following address: info@otatuote.fi. Registration for the 3-year FEIN PLUS warranty can be withdrawn at any time. The corresponding data is then deleted with immediate effect. Please note that all the data you have provided in relation to the 3-year FEIN PLUS warranty will be lost and you will no longer be entitled to the extended warranty.

Use of Facebook social plug-ins

Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f) GDPR is the basis for this website using social plug-ins (plug-ins) provides by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). These plug-ins can be recognised by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like", ''Love" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the words "Facebook social plug-in". You can see the list of the Facebook social plug-ins and what they look like here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. Its browser establishes a direct link to the Facebook servers when a user accesses a page on our website containing one of these plug-ins. Facebook directly transmits the plug-in content to your browser, which integrates it into the website. The provider does not therefore have any influence over the extent of data Facebook collects using this plug-in and can thus only inform the user to the best of its knowledge: Integration of the plug-in means that Facebook receives information that a user has accessed a particular page on the website. Facebook can assign the visit to the user's Facebook account if he or she is logged into Facebook. If users interact with the plug-ins, for instance by clicking the Like button or submitting a comment, information relating to this is transmitted from their browser directly to Facebook, where it is stored. Should a user not be a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to discover and store his or her IP address. Facebook states that in Germany, it only stores an anonymised IP address. Please refer to Facebook's data protection policy regarding the purpose and extent of data collection, further processing and use of data by Facebook and the corresponding rights and setting options for protecting user privacy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Users must log out of Facebook before visiting our website if they are a member of Facebook and object to Facebook using this website to collect data about them and link this to their Facebook membership data. The Facebook profile settings contain further setting and options for objecting to the use of data for advertising purposes: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Our website uses social plug-ins ("plug-ins") provided by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). You can see the list of the Facebook social plug-ins and what they look like here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

Your browser establishes a direct link to the Facebook servers when you access a website that contains one of these plug-ins. Facebook directly transmits the plug-in content to your browser, which integrates it into the website. We do not therefore have any influence over the amount of data that Facebook collects using this plug-in and can therefore only inform you to the best of our knowledge:

Integration of the plug-ins provides Facebook with notification that you have accessed the corresponding website. Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account if you are logged into Facebook. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the Like button or submitting a comment, information relating to this is transferred from your browser directly to Facebook, where it is stored. Should you not be a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to discover and store your IP address.

Please refer to Facebook's data protection policy regarding the purpose and extent of the data collection, further processing and use of data by Facebook and your corresponding rights and setting options for protecting your private sphere: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

You must log out of Facebook before visiting our website if you are a member of Facebook and object to Facebook collecting data about you via our website and linking this to your membership data stored by Facebook.

Facebook re-marketing / re-targeting

Our website integrates re-marketing tags provided by the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f) GDPR. These re-marketing tags establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server when you visit our website. Facebook therefore receives the information that you have used your IP address to visit our website. Facebook can thus assign your visit to our website to your user account. We can use this information to display Facebook ads. We wish to point out that as the website provider, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. You can find further information on this in the data protection declaration of Facebook https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can deactivate Custom Audiences via this link if you prefer not to allow Custom Audience to record data.

Use of Twitter plug-ins (e.g. the "Tweet" button)

Based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f)GDPR, our website uses so-called social plug-ins ("plug-ins") provided by the micro-blogging service Twitter and operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"). These plug-ins are marked with a Twitter logo, for instance in the form of a blue "Twitter bird". An overview of the Twitter plug-ins and their appearance can be found here: https://dev.twitter.com/web/overview

Your browser establishes a direct link to the Twitter servers when you access a page on our website that contains one of these plug-ins. Twitter directly transmits the plug-in content to your browser, which integrates it into the website. This integration means that Twitter receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website, even if you do not have a Twitter profile or are not currently logged into Twitter. Your browser directly transmits this information (including your IP address) to a Twitter server in the USA, where it is stored.

Twitter can directly assign your visit to our website to your Twitter account if you are logged into Twitter. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by pressing the "Tweet" button, the corresponding information will be transmitted directly to Twitter and stored there. This information will also be published on your Twitter account and displayed to your contacts.

Please refer to Twitter's privacy policy regarding the purpose and extent of data collection, further processing and use of data by Twitter and the corresponding rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: https://twitter.com/privacy

You must log out of Twitter before visiting our website if you object to Twitter directly assigning the data collected via our website to your Twitter account. You can also use add-ons to your browser to fully prevent loading of the Twitter plug-in, e.g. by using the "NoScript" http://noscript.net/ script blocker.

Use of AddThis plug-ins (e.g. the "Share" button)

Based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f) GDPR, our website uses so-called social plug-ins ("plug-ins") provided by the bookmarking service AddThis and operated by AddThis LLC, Inc., 8000 Westpark Drive, Suite 625, McLean, VA 2210, USA ("AddThis"). These plug-ins are usually marked with an AddThis logo, for instance in the form of a white plus sign on an orange background. An overview of the AddThis plug-ins and their appearance can be found here: https://www.addthis.com/get/sharing

Your browser establishes a direct link to the AddThis servers when you access a page on our website that contains one of these plug-ins. AddThis directly transmits the plug-in content to your browser, which integrates it into the website. This integration means that AddThis receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website and saves a cookie on your device to identify your browser. Your browser directly transmits this information (including your IP address) to an AddThis server in the USA, where it is stored. AddThis uses the data to create anonymised user profiles. These act as the basis for a customised and interest-based advertising approach to the visitors of internet pages with AddThis plug-ins.

Please refer to the AddThis privacy policy regarding the purpose and extent of data collection, further processing and use of data by AddThis: http://www.addthis.com/privacy/privacy-policy.

Should you wish to object to future data collection by AddThis, you can set a so-called opt-out cookie that you can download via the following link: http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out.
